Business Analyst

Overview

Marquis Software Development is a leading provider of software for the corrections industry. In this role, you will serve as the link between client business goals and the company’s technical solutions. Your work will help ensure that projects are built to meet client needs, with a focus on clear requirements, thoughtful solution design, and smooth collaboration across teams.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at the company’s headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients, analysts, developers, and managers to uncover and solve complex business and software challenges.
• Use strong verbal communication to work effectively with both external stakeholders and internal teams.
• Collect, record, and confirm business and technical needs from clients, then convert them into practical action plans.
• Support the creation of business analysis deliverables such as requirements documents, process flow diagrams, and functional design materials.
• Share project progress updates with the project manager for each client engagement.
• Stay organized while handling multiple tasks and maintaining timely follow-up.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a similar discipline; or a high school diploma or equivalent plus six years of related experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Tallahassee, FL.
• Prior experience in a technical environment is preferred.
• Background in public safety systems, such as corrections or law enforcement, is an added advantage.
