Job description

Role overview

Synechron is looking for an adaptable and seasoned Business Analyst to support work across emerging technologies and contribute to digital transformation initiatives for clients in different industries. The position focuses on understanding complex business needs, turning them into clear solution designs, and working closely with teams across functions to help deliver projects successfully. The right candidate should bring a solid grasp of business processes, technology trends, and agile ways of working to build practical, scalable, and innovative solutions that support business goals.

Software and tools

The role requires comfort with requirements management and collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence for documenting and tracking requirements. You should also be able to use process-mapping tools like Visio and Lucidchart to build workflows, diagrams, and operating models. Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is important for stakeholder reporting and data presentation. Familiarity with agile project management tools for sprint planning, backlog handling, and progress tracking is also expected.

Additional preferred capability includes using business analysis frameworks for process improvement and customer journey mapping, along with data analytics tools that help derive operational or customer insights.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will gather, assess, and confirm detailed business and functional requirements for enterprise or client projects. You will convert business needs into functional and technical specifications, including process maps and workflow designs, while working with product owners, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the requirements are practical, aligned, and clearly understood.

You will also run requirement workshops, carry out gap analysis, support process improvement efforts, and help development and testing teams through documentation and use cases. In addition, you will assist with UAT planning and coordination, track scope and change requests, and keep stakeholders informed about project progress and any requirement clarifications.

Daily work

Typical day-to-day work includes conducting workshops and interviews to elicit requirements, documenting functional, non-functional, and technical needs, analyzing current processes for improvement and automation opportunities, and collaborating with development, testing, and operations teams to refine solution design. You will also support UAT, sign-off, and change management, maintain project documentation and process models, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and help drive continuous improvement by evaluating new tools and practices.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. The role calls for 2 to 5 years of relevant business analysis experience in enterprise or large transformation environments. Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are considered an advantage. Experience in requirements management and process optimization, especially in compliance-focused and operationally strong settings, is also valued.

Professional strengths

The ideal candidate should be strong in critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder communication, and reporting. Leadership and mentoring ability are useful, along with adaptability to changing frameworks, regulations, and industry expectations. Good organization and the ability to manage multiple projects and improvement efforts at once are also important.

Experience and domain preference

Preferred background includes work in finance, healthcare, or other large enterprise environments. Candidates with substantial experience in business process management and documentation within enterprise transformation programs may also be considered.

Diversity and inclusion

Synechron states that diversity and inclusion are central to its culture and that it is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Its DEI program, known as “Same Difference,” aims to build a respectful, inclusive workplace that values people of all backgrounds. The company encourages applicants from varied race, ethnicity, religion, age, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, and disability backgrounds. It also supports flexible work arrangements, mentoring, internal mobility, learning and development, and other employee growth initiatives. Employment decisions are made based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications, without consideration of protected characteristics.
