Job description
Role overview
Join a well-funded financial technology company that is rethinking core market infrastructure by combining institutional finance know-how with blockchain-based technology. The team is building a fully on-chain, faster, and more secure ecosystem for the global financial system. In this role, you will convert complex loan-market processes into clear, scalable software requirements and help turn uncertain business needs into execution-ready plans.
This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule. You must be able to work onsite in NYC three days per week. Fully remote arrangements are not available.
Compensation for this role is $150,000 to $175,000, with a base salary range of $150,000 to $170,000 depending on experience, plus equity.
Key responsibilities
- Turn complex and sometimes conflicting input from clients and subject matter experts into detailed, testable functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Produce thorough functional design documents that can guide engineering, testing, and longer-term product documentation.
- Set up testing approaches, translate product scenarios into formal test plans, run feature- and integration-level testing, and coordinate defect review with engineering to support UAT readiness.
- Work closely with product design teams to shape wireframes and mockups so engineering receives precise visual and behavior guidance for interfaces.
- Support institutional client workshops and calls, speak in the client’s business language, handle incoming support issues, and feed real-world feedback into product improvements.
- Use AI productivity tools to speed up documentation, specifications, and test case creation while applying strong editorial judgment to ensure outputs are accurate and trustworthy.
Requirements
- About 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing product requirements through the full testing lifecycle in technology consulting, management advisory, systems implementation, or an in-house product setting.
- Strong capability in requirements gathering, validation, gap analysis, traceability, functional specification writing, UAT planning, and defect triage.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve documentation and testing workflows, with the judgment needed to review and refine AI-generated material.
- Highly detail-oriented, accountable, and able to move quickly in ambiguous or fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work closely with sophisticated financial services clients.
- Familiarity with tools such as Linear, Notion, Figma, Slack, GSuite, PowerPoint, and process-mapping software like Miro, Lucidchart, or Visio is preferred.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft productivity tools is also valued.
- Preferred backgrounds include Big Four advisory firms, Accenture, boutique digital transformation consultancies, implementation services teams, or internal transformation teams focused on loan operations modernization.
- Exposure to institutional loan markets, private credit, broadly syndicated loans, credit operations, loan administration, settlement, or closing workflows is a plus, but not mandatory.
Benefits
- Competitive pay in the $150,000 to $170,000 base range, with equity in a high-growth venture.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Generous paid time off.
- High-impact work with direct access to senior leaders from major financial institutions and top-tier firms.
