About the Role

CIMB Singapore is seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst to join their team. This role involves performing advanced analytics on customer and product data to uncover trends and insights that will drive business decisions. You will be responsible for building and maintaining critical dashboards and reports, conducting sophisticated analyses like A/B testing and customer segmentation, and utilizing predictive modeling to forecast demand and identify growth opportunities. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the data journey from ingestion to strategy implementation and portfolio monitoring, including the application of Machine Learning solutions and the formulation of data-driven business strategies. You will also contribute to process optimization, automation, and DataMart architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced analytics on product and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key metrics to monitor customer behavior and product performance.
  • Execute A/B tests, customer segmentation, and cohort analyses to refine product features and customer experiences.
  • Apply statistical and predictive modeling techniques for forecasting product demand, customer behavior, and identifying cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
  • Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle, from data ingestion to the implementation of data-driven strategies and portfolio oversight.
  • Perform comprehensive analytics, including descriptive, inferential, prescriptive, and advanced analytics, incorporating ML solutions and business strategy formulation.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes, and contribute to DataMart architecture design and setup.
  • Lead campaign and leads management activities, including planning, data execution, performance tracking, and base management for SG Consumer Banking.
  • Collaborate with business teams to meet their needs for campaign implementation, data quality, and advanced analytics.
  • Engage with business stakeholders, such as product managers, marketing teams, and segment managers, to understand analytical requirements and support decision-making.
  • Interpret complex data findings and present recommendations to stakeholders to improve business outcomes, customer experience, and product impact.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in banking and wealth management to foster innovation.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Possess at least 5 years of professional experience in product or customer analytics.
  • Demonstrate proven expertise with analytics tools such as SQL, Python, and R, as well as visualization platforms like Tableau and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Consumer Banking products (Deposits, Wealth Management, Loans, Cards) and customer segmentation principles.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, A/B testing methodologies, customer segmentation, and lifecycle analysis.
  • Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of banking sector regulatory requirements and industry compliance standards is advantageous.
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying intricate data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, R programming, and MS Excel.
  • Skilled in using Business Intelligence tools, particularly Tableau.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Possess robust analytical and communication capabilities.

Additional Information

This role requires the ability to articulate the data journey from end-to-end, from data ingestion from various systems to data-driven strategy implementations and portfolio monitoring. It also involves performing end-to-end Analytics, from Descriptive and Inferential, to Prescriptive and Advanced Analytics, applying ML solutions as required, and formulation of business strategies, including business impact analysis and overseeing of strategy implementation. Furthermore, the role includes performing process optimization and automation, and DataMart architecture design and setup.
