Role overview
This position is a W2 contract role expected to last at least 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension. It is based onsite in Plano, Texas, and is intended for an analyst who can turn data into practical guidance for operational and strategic decisions. The role supports planning activities by collecting information, examining business patterns, and building reports that help teams make informed choices.
In this role, you will work across departments to help align business goals, improve efficiency, and strengthen overall performance through data-driven insights.
What you will do
- Collect, structure, and analyze information from multiple sources to support business needs.
- Build dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate findings clearly to different audiences.
- Track KPIs and other core metrics to measure progress and highlight improvement opportunities.
- Create analytical data models that support operational decisions and broader strategic planning.
- Study current company performance, industry patterns, and market benchmarks in depth.
- Partner with data engineering teams to verify that operational data is accurate and reliable.
- Use forecasting and modeling approaches to contribute to planning and decision-making.
- Recommend ways to uncover business opportunities and reduce costs while keeping the organization efficient and competitive.
- Work closely with business leadership, field teams, and account management to drive aligned outcomes.
- Strengthen coordination across departments by maintaining communication and productive working relationships.
- Identify process gaps and improvement areas using data analytics and workflow optimization methods.
- Suggest and help implement tools or systems that improve productivity and simplify reporting.
Experience and qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or comparable position.
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a similar discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Advanced SQL experience is expected, with at least 2 years of professional use.
- Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Superset, or Excel.
- Exposure to JupyterLab and Python is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and presentation skills are essential.
- Detail orientation, organization, and the ability to manage work carefully are important for success.
- Knowledge of statistical testing, forecasting, modeling, and project management concepts is helpful.
- Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, is an advantage.
- A collaborative, adaptable, and results-focused approach is expected.
Terms and engagement details
This is a W2 contract assignment. The targeted pay range is $35 to $42 per hour. The engagement is expected to be a minimum of 12 months and may extend beyond that period.
