Role summary

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Ghana for a Business Development Manager. The position centers on discovering new commercial opportunities, building durable relationships with important stakeholders, and closing agreements with clients and business partners. The role also calls for market research, strategy development, identification of expansion avenues, and sales execution to support company objectives. You will work closely with teams across the business to improve market presence and keep customers satisfied.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate fresh business opportunities in the market.
  • Build, nurture, and manage strong relationships with clients, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with prospects and existing partners.
  • Carry out market research and competitor analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop business plans and growth strategies that align with organizational targets.
  • Drive sales activity and contribute to achievement of revenue goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve positioning in the market and enhance client experience.

Required profile

  • Hands-on experience in business development, sales planning, and market analysis, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
  • Strong skills in project coordination, negotiation, and solving business problems.
  • Clear communication, confident presentation, and strong interpersonal capabilities.
  • A track record of meeting sales targets and contributing to business growth.
  • Exposure to healthcare or pharmaceutical operations will be an advantage.
  • Comfort using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, travel when needed, and remain effective in a fast-changing environment.
