About The Opportunity And Responsibilities
The Business Process Analyst will play a crucial role in Inkomoko's organizational transformation and ERP implementation. This position involves analyzing, documenting, standardizing, and enhancing business processes across key functional areas to promote operational excellence, process governance, ERP readiness, and scalable practices that support the organization's expansion. The role is integral to the ERP transformation program, ensuring business processes are standardized, scalable, and aligned with future growth objectives. Reporting to the Head of IT Projects, this position is open to candidates located in any of Inkomoko's operational countries: Chad, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, or South Sudan.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Process Analysis, Design & Optimization: Lead the comprehensive analysis, documentation, and redesign of end-to-end business processes within Finance, Operations, HR, Procurement, and Program Delivery. Develop detailed 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' process maps adhering to BPMN 2.0 standards and best practices. Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities to enhance operational excellence, scalability, and standardization. Support business process reengineering and automation initiatives.
- ERP Transformation & Business Requirements Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and ERP implementation partners to translate operational needs into functional business requirements. Ensure business processes align with ERP capabilities and organizational goals. Assist in ERP design workshops, process validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and implementation activities. Drive process harmonization and standardization to facilitate successful ERP adoption.
- Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management & Adoption: Facilitate workshops, interviews, and cross-functional sessions to gather requirements and drive process improvements. Cultivate strong interdepartmental relationships to foster collaboration, alignment, and stakeholder buy-in. Support change management, communication, training, and adoption strategies for process and system transformations. Monitor the adoption of new processes and recommend adjustments for sustained change.
- Process Governance, Risk & Compliance: Establish and maintain process governance frameworks, controls, standards, and documentation repositories. Ensure processes comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, audit standards, and regulatory obligations. Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational and process-related risks. Work with Finance, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to strengthen controls and improve process integrity.
- Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define and maintain process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and operational benchmarks. Monitor, analyze, and report on process performance, improvement initiatives, and business outcomes. Develop dashboards, reports, and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for operational excellence and organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, ERP implementation support, or operational transformation. Proven experience in process mapping and documentation using BPMN 2.0. Experience in cross-functional operational or systems implementation projects. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities. Experience with operational excellence and process governance.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience within NGOs, social enterprises, consulting firms, or multi-country organizations. Familiarity with ERP systems such as Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms. Certifications like BPM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ABPMP, CBAP, or PMI-PBA are advantageous. Exposure to workflow automation, systems integration, or digital transformation initiatives. Experience supporting process transformation projects in Finance, Procurement, HR, or Operations. Experience leading business process reengineering, ERP harmonization, and enterprise transformation in multi-country settings.
