The team is seeking a detail-oriented, technology-focused CAD Tech Surveyor to support projects on Vancouver Island. This role suits someone who is comfortable working in both office and field settings and wants to contribute to important infrastructure work.
Compensation
- Hourly pay ranges from $35 to $41, based on experience and qualifications.
- Vacation pay is set at 13% of hourly earnings.
- Benefits become available after 250 hours of work.
- Pension contributions are $5.15 for every hour worked.

Role Overview
This position involves using advanced surveying and CAD technology to support infrastructure projects. The role combines office-based technical work with field support, and may require stepping into the field during slower periods to help keep work progressing efficiently.
Key Duties
- Collect accurate site data using GPS-grade control systems and advanced surveying equipment.
- Perform volume calculations, prepare CAD drawings, conduct drone flights, and develop linework and surface files.
- Assist field crews by checking site grades, verifying accuracy, and maintaining quality standards.
- Move into field duties when needed during quieter project periods to help maintain momentum.
What You Need
- A degree or certificate in Surveying, Geomatics, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of CAD software and related technical tools is required.
- Experience with drones and field surveying is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work with GPS-grade equipment, laser levels, and precision-based workflows is important.
- A careful, detail-focused approach and a cooperative team mindset are expected.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
