About the Role
FedEx Canada is seeking a dedicated CAN Driver to join their team in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. This role involves the courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages along an assigned route, ensuring all shipments comply with FedEx Canada's service features. The position also requires performing related customer service functions.
Responsibilities
- Execute timely and safe pick-up and delivery of packages within a designated service area.
- Verify package details against shipping manifests and ensure compliance with FedEx service standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients during delivery and pick-up interactions.
- Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
- Handle packages with care, using appropriate equipment for heavier items.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with the aid of equipment.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing business role is preferred.
- Must successfully pass a pre-placement driver assessment and mandatory training.
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks, cope with stress, and perform in a high-pressure setting.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules, including holidays, as dictated by business demands.
- For candidates in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required.
- For roles involving driving, a valid license (e.g., Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]) is necessary, with no more than two infractions/accidents in the 24 months prior to application.
