Job description

About My Clinic

My Clinic is a multispecialty outpatient healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia. Since 2017, the organization has focused on helping people lead longer, healthier, and happier lives by combining modern care with values such as collaboration, ambition, responsibility, and a strong patient-centered approach.

Role Overview

The Cardiovascular Technologist will carry out key diagnostic and monitoring procedures within the cardiology department, including ECG, 2D echocardiography support, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. The role requires strong technical skill, patient interaction, attention to safety, and the ability to support clinical teams across different shifts and work areas as needed.

Core Duties

  • Place ECG leads correctly for both adult and pediatric patients, and perform complete adult 2D echo studies with views and measurements while assisting with pediatric echo procedures.
  • Prepare patients for stress testing, connect them to ECG monitoring, supervise treadmill exercise, and observe cardiac activity throughout the procedure.
  • Set up Holter monitoring, guide patients through a 24-hour recording period, retrieve the device, and process the captured data for review and printing.
  • Deliver safe and thorough patient preparation, assessment, and care before, during, and after stress testing.
  • Support prescribed exercise guidance, gather medical history, record blood pressure, explain procedures clearly, and remain ready to respond to cardiac emergencies.
  • Apply ambulatory blood pressure monitors, educate patients on their use, and transfer recorded data appropriately.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal rhythm patterns, identify urgent abnormalities, and escalate them promptly to the attending cardiologist or physician.
  • Review Holter traces for artifacts, determine minimum and maximum heart rates, and document abnormal rhythm findings.
  • Work in line with evidence-based standards for ECG, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and exercise stress testing, including guidance from the American Heart Association.
  • Take part in assigned task forces, handle department-related work such as census preparation, typing, and scanning reports, and complete assigned tasks on time.
  • Remain adaptable to rotating shifts and different areas within the cardiology department according to operational needs.
  • Maintain a consistently safe environment for patients, families, and staff by ensuring equipment is safe to use and by following infection prevention procedures and guidelines.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and share only with authorized personnel.
  • Provide and receive relevant patient updates during shift handover, both verbally and in writing, to support continuity of care according to clinic standards.
  • Carry out additional professional responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in cardiovascular technology or a related science field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Saudi Council certification is mandatory.
  • ECG certification is preferred but not required.
