About the role
Dovida Ireland is seeking a Care Manager in County Donegal. The organisation operates across six countries and supports millions of care hours annually. What the role involves
- Carry out client consultations and turn them into practical care plans.
- Visit homes to assess risks and put measures in place to reduce them.
- Handle concerns or disputes involving clients and caregivers, and help resolve them.
- Complete quality assurance visits in client homes, update care plans, and manage service enquiries and care consultations where needed.
- Make sure each care plan continues to match the client’s changing needs, and coordinate follow-up with family members and healthcare professionals when required.
- Ensure care delivery meets HCCI, ISO, franchise standards, local policies, and Health Service Executive requirements.
- Keep caregiver supervision records current and accurate.
- Support, coach, and mentor a sizeable team of caregivers so they can perform effectively.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams in hospitals and community settings.
- Keep senior management informed on clinical matters when needed.
- Take part in clinical audits as assigned by the organisation.
- Support additional tasks as directed by the management team.
Education and experience
- A QQI Level 5 qualification in Social or Healthcare is required.
- Applicants should have 2 to 3 years of experience in home care, healthcare, or a senior-care related setting.
- A similar mix of education and work experience may also be accepted.
- Strong computer literacy is essential.
- A full, clean driving licence and access to a personal car are mandatory.
