About the School

Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic Jesuit boys’ school set on expansive grounds in Lane Cove, New South Wales. It is an independent school that provides a well-rounded education for day and boarding students from Years 5 through 12.

Role Overview

The College is looking to appoint a Career Advisor in a full-time ongoing role. This position focuses on planning and coordinating careers education programs that support students and families with careers guidance and general higher education advice, helping them make informed decisions about life after school. The appointment is an ongoing, full-time, stand-down position beginning in Term 4, 2026.

Key Duties

  • Design and coordinate careers education activities and initiatives for students.
  • Provide careers counselling and higher education guidance to students and families.
  • Support informed decision-making around post-school pathways and options.

About You

  • You bring the relevant careers adviser qualification and/or practical industry experience.
  • You are aligned with the College’s mission and values and can work within a Catholic Jesuit school environment.
  • You have experience guiding young people through career planning and counselling.
  • You understand the latest tertiary admissions processes and entry requirements.
  • You are committed to ongoing learning, refinement of practice, and professional growth.
  • You work well with others and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • You are highly organised and strong in administration.
  • You hold a current Working with Children Check and are committed to safeguarding children and young people.
