Role overview

Ryman Healthcare is looking for a compassionate Caregiver to join Diana Isaac Retirement Village in Mairehau, Christchurch. This is a full-time coverpool position where you will help make a real difference to residents by delivering thoughtful, respectful care as part of a supportive and varied team.

Work pattern

The position is rostered from Thursday through Monday, although the schedule may change depending on operational needs. Daily hours will vary based on the employer's advice, with a guaranteed average minimum of 30 hours per week.

What the role involves

  • Build genuine, long-term connections with residents and their families.
  • Carry out personal care in line with each resident's individual care plan, with the same level of attention you would want for your own loved ones.
  • Use modern tools and technology, including the myRyman care app.
  • Work alongside colleagues to create a positive, cooperative team culture.

What they are looking for

To do well in this environment, you will need a naturally kind approach, a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and a dependable, approachable, and professional manner. Prior experience in aged care is welcome but not required.
