Role overview
Heritage Lifecare is seeking a Caregiver for Telford Lifecare in New Plymouth, Taranaki. This is a casual, on-site role supporting residents in a 53-bed care home and hospital with a 16-unit village. The position is centred on delivering thoughtful, high-quality care in a friendly and supportive environment.

What the role involves
- Providing day-to-day personal care and support to residents in a warm, respectful manner.
- Helping maintain a safe, kind, and comfortable atmosphere for residents.
- Working across AM, PM, night, and weekend shifts as needed.
- Contributing to care delivery that meets a consistently high standard.
- Using compassion, patience, and a positive approach to build trust and comfort with residents.
Skills and experience needed
- Prior experience supporting or caring for others, preferably in aged care.
- NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a comparable New Zealand or overseas qualification such as a Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in solving problems and handling day-to-day care situations.
- A genuine interest in helping people and delivering excellent service.
- Awareness of health and safety practices and a willingness to keep improving.
