This role is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in Doha, Qatar. The carpenter will handle the building, upkeep, and repair of structural and fixture-related woodwork and related elements.

Core work

The position calls for practical knowledge of construction and renovation practices, including the use of tools, materials, methods, specifications, quality standards, cost awareness, and safe working practices.

The carpenter should be able to complete tasks such as fitting doors, drilling and installing door hardware, placing windows, preparing stair and common rafter layouts, carrying out formwork, and interpreting blueprints. The job also requires the ability to estimate material needs using sound mathematical and analytical judgment.

Qualifications and expectations

Candidates should bring hands-on carpentry experience, ideally within a hospitality setting. Success in this role depends on solid technical knowledge, the ability to work alone or with others, clear communication, good time management, precision, physical capability, and a strong focus on safety and customer service.
