Carpenter

About the Role

One&Only The Palm in Dubai is looking for a Carpenter to support the engineering team at its beachfront resort. The position focuses on keeping the resort’s wooden assets in excellent condition and contributing to the upkeep and improvement of the property in line with the brand’s high standards.

The role is based at One&Only The Palm, an intimate resort on Palm Island where modern Dubai meets traditional Arabian character. The environment is built around thoughtful service, attention to detail, warmth, and a guest experience designed to feel memorable and personal.

What You Will Handle

• Carry out repair and maintenance work on wooden structures and building elements across the resort.
• Maintain villas, public spaces, staff housing, beach furniture, outdoor furniture, and related carpentry assets.
• Undertake fabrication of new furniture and support carpentry work for internal projects when needed.
• Follow preventive maintenance plans and keep them up to date.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly, professionally, and efficiently while keeping backlogs as low as possible.
• Report any material-related problems to supervisors.
• Complete assigned work within a reasonable timeframe while maintaining the resort’s quality expectations.
• Keep tools, equipment, and the carpentry workshop clean and well maintained.
• Apply new ideas and practical skills whenever required.

Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in furniture carpentry, building, or construction work.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities are considered an advantage.
