Role Summary
This full-time cashier role is based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, within the commercial/retail team of a premium multi-designer apparel brand. The position is centered on accurate billing, smooth transaction handling, and delivering a polished checkout experience that matches the brand’s luxury image.
Billing and Cash Handling
- Accurately process customer purchases through the POS system.
- Accept and manage payments through cash, credit or debit cards, UPI, and other digital methods.
- Generate correct bills and invoices for every transaction.
- Balance the cash drawer and reconcile collections at the end of each shift.
- Prepare daily reports covering sales and cash activity.
Customer Service
- Provide courteous, high-quality service while maintaining a professional presence.
- Respond to billing-related questions, payment issues, returns, and exchanges.
- Ensure the checkout process is efficient, smooth, and pleasant for shoppers.
- Support customers with loyalty programs, offers, and promotional initiatives.
Store Operations Support
- Work closely with the sales team so billing and inventory records stay aligned.
- Help maintain customer records and purchase histories when needed.
- Assist with store opening and closing routines as required.
- Follow company procedures and operational standards at all times.
Documentation and Reporting
- Keep accurate records of payments, refunds, exchanges, and discounts.
- Escalate any cash or billing mismatch to the Store Manager without delay.
- Support audit activities and stock checks when required.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or another relevant field is expected. Prior work experience in cashiering, billing, or retail support will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirement
Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in retail, apparel, luxury retail, lifestyle, jewellery, or hospitality environments.

- Ability to use MS Excel and basic computer applications.
