What the Job Is Responsible For
The purpose of this position is to help create a positive guest experience by handling orders accurately, communicating clearly, and supporting front-of-house operations.
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Coordinate smoothly with other team members
- Take guest food orders
- Pack orders carefully and verify accuracy, including condiments and utensils
- Greet and interact with guests in a warm, professional manner
- Support packing for catering-related orders
- Use the point-of-sale system confidently
- Take orders at the drive-thru window
- Manage curbside orders
- Restock supplies and other items as needed
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualification Expectations
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Able to manage several tasks at the same time
- Maintains composure in busy or stressful situations
- Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule
- Willing to complete any company, federal, or state-required training or certification related to the role
Experience and Skills Needed
- Restaurant-related experience or training
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Basic reading, writing, and math ability
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or move up to 10 pounds continuously
- Comfort working in wet or humid conditions and around cleaning chemicals
- Frequent handwashing is required
Work Conditions and Physical Demands
- Must be able to handle products, cash, transactions, and POS equipment
- Needs to communicate effectively through speaking and listening
- Work includes frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, crouching, touching, feeling, tasting, talking, hearing, wiping, smelling, and exposure to smoke from a wood-burning cooker
- Fast-paced environment with constant customer interaction and movement
- May work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to perform the essential duties during an 8-hour shift
