Cashier

Overview

This full-time cashier role is based on site in Red Deer County, Alberta, Canada. The position is open to candidates who can work at the physical workplace, with no remote work option.

Language

English is required.

Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed for this position.

Experience

Training will be provided, so prior experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently.
• Accept and process cash, cheque, and debit or credit card payments.
• Scan merchandise at the point of sale.
• Collect payment for products or services.
• Balance the day’s or shift’s takings against total sales.
• Use suggestive selling techniques where appropriate.
• Restock shelves and keep the counter area clean.
• Welcome customers and provide friendly service.
• Check customers’ age when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
