Role Overview
This position calls for an experienced Channel Manager who can build, nurture, and expand a partner network. The role centers on managing relationships with distributors, resellers, referral partners, and strategic collaborators while improving channel outcomes and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and implement channel partner plans that support broader business objectives.
- Source, onboard, and oversee partners, including distributors and resellers.
- Develop trusted working relationships with partner leaders and decision-makers.
- Increase channel-driven sales by enabling partners with training, guidance, and practical resources.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to launch partner-oriented initiatives.
- Track partner performance, sales indicators, and revenue goals.
- Spot new partnership opportunities and avenues for market growth.
- Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, contractual terms, and commercial arrangements.
- Run regular performance check-ins and business reviews with channel partners.
- Prepare forecasts, reports, and leadership recommendations on channel performance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in channel management, partner management, business development, sales, or a comparable function.
- At least 2 years spent managing partner ecosystems or strategic alliances is preferred.
- Strong capability in relationship building, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue through indirect sales channels.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent systems.
- Good analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort managing several partnerships and priorities at the same time.
- Ability to work independently while operating in a remote setting.
