About the Role

This contract position is for chemistry specialists who want to help improve AI systems by creating and evaluating advanced scientific content. Your expertise will be used to stress-test model reasoning in complex chemistry scenarios and help raise the quality of AI outputs.

The work is fully remote and designed to be flexible, making it a strong fit for professionals who want to contribute on their own schedule while applying deep chemistry knowledge to AI research.

What You Will Do

  • Create demanding chemistry questions spanning areas such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry to evaluate AI capabilities.
  • Write clear, logical, and well-structured solutions that show advanced scientific reasoning.
  • Review AI-generated answers for correctness, reasoning quality, and depth.
  • Work with researchers to improve evaluation sets covering chemistry topics from undergraduate level through Master’s level.
  • Deliver detailed feedback that helps strengthen future model responses.

Who You Are

  • You are currently enrolled in, or have already completed, a Master’s program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills in advanced chemistry.
  • You can explain complex scientific ideas clearly and accurately in writing.
  • You are comfortable working independently and managing tasks asynchronously.
  • No background in AI or data annotation is required.

Preferred Background

  • Exposure to data annotation, data review, or quality evaluation work.
  • Understanding of AI language models or scientific benchmarking.
  • Experience across more than one chemistry subfield.
