Job description
Company Overview
Founded in 2018, HashKey Group has grown into a leading provider of digital asset financial services across Asia and beyond. The company is focused on building a globally respected Web3 ecosystem that combines strong regulatory discipline with ongoing innovation. Its business spans licensed exchanges, asset management, OTC services, and infrastructure, with a clear goal of making digital assets more dependable and easier to access for individuals and institutions alike.
With an established presence in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda, the company is now expanding its footprint in North America. It has operations in San Francisco, Stamford, Newport Beach, and Los Angeles, with the Los Angeles team serving as the center of its U.S. growth efforts. That hub plays a key role in connecting the company to the U.S. market and the broader Web3 landscape.
The Los Angeles team is especially important to HashKey Capital and its technology innovation agenda. The organization is assembling high-caliber talent in the region to shape what comes next for digital assets and to deliver advanced solutions for institutional and professional clients.
Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer position is a full-time remote leadership role focused on managing daily business operations and ensuring consulting services are delivered efficiently and consistently. The role requires turning strategic goals into practical operating plans, improving internal workflows, and allocating resources effectively across client assignments.
Working closely with the President, the COO will help guide business planning, performance management, and scalable operations. This includes defining KPIs, monitoring progress, and making sure teams stay aligned with organizational priorities. The role also involves leading internal staff and contractors, overseeing budgets and financial performance, and maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
In addition to core operations leadership, the COO will contribute to business development by refining service delivery processes, strengthening client onboarding and engagement, and introducing tools and systems that improve productivity and the overall client experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring strong capabilities in business planning and strategic execution, with a track record of converting organizational goals into actionable operating roadmaps. Deep experience in operations management is important, including process design, workflow improvement, and performance tracking.
Applicants should also have strong analytical ability, with the capacity to interpret data, establish KPIs, and use insights to guide decisions. A solid foundation in finance and budgeting is needed, including forecasting, cost control, and margin oversight.
Background in professional services, consulting, or HR-oriented businesses is a strong advantage. The role also calls for proven leadership, including people development, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration across functions in a remote setting.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with comfort operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment. A bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree or relevant certifications would be beneficial.
