Job description

About the Opportunity

This role is aimed at professionals who want to build a career in early years education in Ireland. It is a strong match for qualified candidates from overseas who are motivated, dependable, and eager to grow within early years centres that value commitment and development.

The hiring journey is carried out entirely online, so there is no requirement to travel for interview stages. Support is provided throughout the process to help candidates progress smoothly.

Candidate Profile

Applications are welcomed from people who hold formal qualifications in early years or primary education, such as a degree in Early Childhood Education, a degree in Primary Education, a Higher Technician qualification in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent Level 6 award, or a teaching degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education.

A professional level of English is required so you can communicate effectively in the workplace. Fluency is not mandatory; employers are also interested in your attitude and willingness to keep improving. A CV in English must be submitted.

Key Responsibilities

You will help children with their everyday learning and development, deliver engaging activities that support creativity and education, and contribute to a safe, encouraging, and stimulating setting. The position also involves working closely with fellow educators and team leaders, as well as maintaining clear communication with families and colleagues to support high-quality care.

What Employers May Provide

Benefits can differ by centre, but commonly include a secure contract, genuine scope for advancement, a starting salary that is typically around €33,000 per year, support with accommodation search in Ireland, and introductory training on the Irish early years system. Centres may also offer multicultural teams, a cooperative atmosphere, extra employer-specific perks, and paid leave in accordance with Irish law.

Recruitment Process

The selection process includes an online interview with The Door Talent, followed by an online interview with the employer. Candidates also receive guidance with documentation, relocation, and the steps needed before joining, along with continued assistance after employment begins.
