Where you'll work
Job description
Opportunity
Join a skilled and forward-thinking team contributing to some of New Zealand’s most notable development projects. The company is known for a collaborative, professional way of working and brings together broad experience across project management, project planning, and land development. With a healthy pipeline of present and upcoming work, the Auckland office is looking for a Civil or Three Waters Engineer to help deliver a variety of infrastructure and development assignments.
The role involves working alongside the wider team to design and deliver infrastructure projects, subdivisions, multi-unit developments, and larger comprehensive developments ranging from two lots to 1000 lots and beyond. You will be involved across multiple project stages, from concept planning through detailed design and delivery, while based in a modern Auckland office on Princess Wharf.
This position also offers strong potential for career growth in an environment that supports progression and professional development.
About You
The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering qualification such as a Bachelor of Engineering or a National Diploma in Engineering, along with at least 3 years of experience in land development and/or three waters engineering in Auckland.
You should be comfortable using, or at minimum familiar with, 12D software, and should also have working knowledge of AutoCAD, EPA net, stormwater modelling tools, 2D flood modelling packages, and Microsoft Office. A solid understanding of the RMA, planning processes, and 3910 contract management is also important.
Knowledge of Auckland civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes is required, along with strong numerical ability, good time management, and solid organisational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are also essential.
Working at Inovo
The organisation describes itself as a group of professional, committed people who are diverse, considerate, and hardworking. The team focuses on understanding client needs and supporting projects through every stage of the lifecycle. Staff value open discussion, fresh thinking, and the depth of expertise drawn from New Zealand and international experience across planning, civil engineering, surveying, consenting, project, and construction disciplines.
The workplace culture is positioned as a key strength: colleagues are friendly, cooperative, and enjoy working together. Senior leaders are accessible and actively encourage teamwork and support both in and outside the office. Investment in people and resources is used to create a dynamic and innovative environment where both employees and clients can succeed.
Benefits
The role comes with an above-market pay package, a modern working environment, opportunities for career development, access to a wide range of projects, and a supportive, progressive workplace culture.
