Role overview
This opportunity is for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer based in Dublin, Ireland, with a salary of up to €60,000 plus benefits. The position is with a well-established engineering consultancy that is expanding its Dublin team and looking for someone who is keen to grow within a business that rewards ability and attitude.
The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of development infrastructure work across residential, commercial, mixed-use, energy, and data centre projects. It is suited to an ambitious engineer who wants to be involved from early-stage planning through to design and construction support.
What the role involves
You will contribute to the delivery of civil infrastructure schemes from feasibility and planning through detailed design and site-stage support. Day-to-day work will include drainage design, technical reporting, drawings, and coordination with multiple project stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design surface water and foul water drainage systems.
- Prepare drainage strategies and infrastructure reports.
- Develop sustainable drainage solutions (SuDS).
- Carry out flood risk assessments.
- Produce engineering drawings and technical submissions.
- Support site inspections and construction-phase activities.
- Liaise with clients, architects, planners, and local authorities.
- Contribute to projects in the residential, commercial, energy, and data centre sectors.
Requirements
- A degree or master’s in Civil Engineering.
- Previous consultancy experience in civil infrastructure or development engineering.
- Strong background in drainage design.
- Experience preparing technical reports and design submissions.
- Working knowledge of Irish design standards and approval processes.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Practical, hands-on experience with Causeway Flow drainage software is mandatory.
- Candidates without Causeway Flow experience cannot be considered.
