Role overview
This opportunity is for an experienced liability adjuster based in Dublin 12, working remotely and out on the road. The role covers claims across Dublin and the surrounding counties. It suits a strong technical professional who wants to grow within a well-established organisation.
What you'll do
You will handle liability claims proactively from investigation through to reporting, making sure your work meets client expectations and service standards. The position involves assessing legal liability, policy liability, and claim value, then using the evidence gathered to support clear recommendations. You will also be expected to maintain a high standard of customer service throughout each case.
- Examine employers’, public, product, and motor liability claims
- Evaluate legal liability, policy liability, and quantum
- Prepare detailed reports that meet client service requirements
- Collect and review evidence to back claim decisions
- Provide consistently strong customer service
- Collaborate with colleagues while also working independently when needed
Experience and skills
The ideal candidate will have a solid commercial background in liability claims and, preferably, prior experience in an external adjusting position. Relevant insurance or adjusting qualifications such as APA, CIP, or an equivalent are expected. You should also bring strong communication, negotiation, and investigative ability, along with the confidence to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good IT skills, a full driving licence, and a flexible approach to workload are also important.
- Commercial experience in liability claims handling
- External adjusting experience preferred
- APA, CIP, or similar insurance/adjusting qualification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good negotiation and investigation skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and to deadline
- Comfortable using IT systems and digital tools

Package
The role offers a salary between €55,000 and €70,000, depending on experience. Benefits include an enhanced contributory pension, performance bonus, flexible benefits, birthday leave, and a share purchase scheme.

Working pattern
This is a standard 35-hour week, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility will be needed during busy periods or when service targets have to be met.
