Role overview
Boyle Sports is looking for a Cleaner to help keep the Corby branch tidy, well-presented, and comfortable for both customers and colleagues. The role focuses on maintaining high standards across washrooms, betting areas, and shared spaces.
Key duties
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
- Remove waste and fit fresh bin liners when needed.
- Keep betting terminals and gaming areas clean and presentable.
- Track cleaning stock and top up supplies when required.
- Work in line with the site’s cleaning timetable and procedures.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene rules.
- Escalate maintenance concerns or safety risks to management without delay.
Skills and experience
Previous work in commercial cleaning or housekeeping is desirable, though it is not mandatory. The right candidate should be able to work on their own, stay efficient, pay close attention to detail, communicate clearly, and take instructions well. Applicants must also live within a reasonable commuting distance of the store.
Working pattern
Shifts run for 1 to 2 hours per day, across 4 to 7 days each week depending on the store. All cleaning takes place outside Boyle Sports trading hours.
