Role summary

Eurofins is looking for a Cleaning Operative to support its Dungarvan site. The purpose of the role is to keep the premises, building and laboratory glassware clean, orderly and maintained to the company’s standards for efficiency, quality and accuracy.

Working pattern

This is a full-time on-site position with a 39-hour working week. Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:45pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9:30am to 6:00pm on Wednesday. Weekend work may be required approximately once per month.

Key duties

  • Maintain the building to an acceptable housekeeping standard in line with company procedures.
  • Remove waste efficiently, including flattening boxes before placing them into the skip to save space.
  • Handle chemical waste disposal safely and according to the correct process.
  • Strip and reseal floors when needed.
  • Carry out sanitisation of pharmaceutical microbiology laboratories and complete the required logbooks.
  • Wash all glassware in accordance with the relevant company procedures.
  • Support general cleaning across the site, including external and everyday dirt-related issues, and provide housekeeping cover during the day when evening staff are unavailable.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team and cover duties for colleagues when required.
  • Keep all canteen areas clean and tidy at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning within a GMP environment is preferred, although it is not mandatory.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
