Job description

Company Overview

Nexthink is a digital employee experience company that gives organizations live visibility into how people experience technology across devices, applications, networks, and digital workflows. Its platform is built to help IT teams shift from reactive support to proactive automation by identifying issues, tracing root causes, resolving problems at scale, and using AI to improve outcomes faster. The platform brings together DEX data, automation, AI-powered IT agents, and Spark so teams can decide, design, automate, and fix employee issues quickly.

This role sits in a fast-growing market that matters to CIOs and is increasingly tied to productivity, AI adoption, employee experience, and operational efficiency. Nexthink is recognized as a category creator and a global leader in Digital Employee Experience, and recent investment activity valued the company at $3 billion.

Role Summary

As Client Director, you will manage Nexthink’s most strategic and complex enterprise relationships. This is far more than a standard account management position. You will represent Nexthink at the executive level across a defined set of high-value accounts, with responsibility for renewals, platform expansion, and building strong, multi-layered relationships that drive loyalty and revenue growth.

Your work will focus on aligning Nexthink’s capabilities with what matters most to customers, including lowering IT costs, increasing employee productivity, and safeguarding the digital workplace at scale.

This role is ideal for an enterprise sales leader who enjoys complexity, is comfortable working with senior executives, and knows how to turn a renewal into a long-term strategic partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships across multiple levels of each account, from IT and service desk teams through CIO and C-suite leaders, acting as a dependable advisor on issues and opportunities.
  • Create and execute account growth strategies that support license expansion, professional services adoption, and strong renewal outcomes, while owning the commercial direction of the portfolio.
  • Work with customers to shape a practical, outcomes-focused roadmap that connects Nexthink’s platform to their business priorities and proves measurable value.
  • Coordinate internal teams across functions and regions to deliver an excellent customer experience, set the strategy, and ensure accountability for customer success.
  • Oversee global account development for assigned customers, aligning resources across geographies to maintain consistent, high-impact engagement.
  • Take full ownership of the book of business and deliver results across licenses, renewals, and professional services, with direct accountability for portfolio health and financial performance.

Candidate Profile

You should bring deep enterprise technology sales or account leadership experience, a strong record of exceeding multi-million-dollar targets, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in complex organizations. Success in IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Digital Employee Experience, or related enterprise software areas is important for this role.

The right person will be strategic but execution-focused, able to think several years ahead while still closing near-term business. You should manage pipelines with discipline, qualify opportunities carefully, build trust through consistent follow-through, learn quickly in a fast-moving market, and lead through influence rather than authority.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in enterprise technology sales or account leadership, with a strong history of consistently exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue goals.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Client Director, Strategic Account Executive, or similar role managing large, complex enterprise accounts.
  • Direct background in IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Digital Employee Experience, or a comparable enterprise software category.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence CIOs, CHROs, and other C-suite decision-makers.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Nexthink is established as a leader in Digital Employee Experience by major analyst firms, and the company is helping define the category rather than follow it.
  • You will work with some of the world’s largest enterprises and operate at the highest levels of business and IT leadership.
  • The earning potential is strong, with a portfolio of strategic accounts and compensation tied directly to relationship growth and value creation.
  • The product delivers clear ROI by helping reduce IT costs, lower ticket volume, improve employee satisfaction, and support large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • You will have support from Solution Consulting, Professional Services, and executive leadership to help you win and retain business at the highest level.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is USD 180,000 to 216,000 per year. Total on-target earnings are expected to be USD 300,000 to 360,000 per year, with additional commission potential above that range.

Benefits and Rewards

Nexthink offers a broad benefits package for US employees, with 100% company-covered health, dental, and vision benefits, plus life insurance, long-term disability, and accidental death/personal loss coverage.

  • Flexible working hours and unlimited vacation, including unlimited paid time off in addition to 15 days of holidays, 11 company-paid holidays, and 3 extra volunteer days.
  • A hybrid work setup that combines office and remote work, supported by structured onboarding to help build team connections.
  • Free access to professional learning platforms for ongoing development.
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents or primary caregivers, and 6 weeks for secondary caregivers.
  • A 401(k) plan with up to 4% company matching and immediate vesting.
  • Referral bonuses for successful hires after three months of continuous employment.

Additional Information

Base pay ranges vary based on country, role level, experience, and skills. The salary range shown reflects Nexthink’s good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum target pay for new hires across all US locations. Final compensation may be influenced by relevant skills, experience, education, or training, and the Talent Acquisition Partner can provide more detail during the hiring process.
