Aon Qatar LLC is hiring a Client Manager for its Employee Benefits team in Doha, Qatar. The role is centered on serving a portfolio of corporate clients, guiding them on benefits strategy and insurance requirements, and ensuring the smooth delivery of Employee Benefits solutions. The position combines client relationship management with technical broking knowledge to design, place, and administer benefit programs while helping drive growth in the local market.

Key duties

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of Employee Benefits clients and provide responsive, high-quality service and advice.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients by meeting them regularly, understanding their business and workforce needs, and recommending solutions that fit their goals.
  • Prepare, market, and place Employee Benefits insurance programs, including presentations, quote collection, negotiation of terms, placement, renewals, and mid-term updates.
  • Handle policy administration and compliance tasks from start to finish, including KYC/AML checks, QFCRA and internal compliance requirements, documentation, endorsements, and placement rules.
  • Manage client claims by coordinating notifications, following up with insurers and adjusters, and pushing issues toward timely resolution.
  • Ensure premiums and fees are collected on time and that accounts are managed accurately and in line with company procedures.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues and underwriters to strengthen current relationships and uncover new business opportunities.

Experience and knowledge required

  • Practical background in Employee Benefits, such as group medical, life, or disability cover, gained in an insurance broker or insurer setting.
  • Proven experience handling client or account management responsibilities for corporate clients.
  • Direct exposure to designing, marketing, and placing Employee Benefits programs, including renewals and mid-term amendments.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating claims for Employee Benefits schemes.
  • Working knowledge of the Qatar insurance market and its regulatory framework, including QFCRA-related expectations.
  • Experience working to compliance standards, including KYC/AML processes and documentation controls.
  • Experience in a multinational or complex matrix organization is considered an advantage.

Skills and abilities

  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to act as the main client contact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to present ideas clearly to clients.
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability for comparing terms and interpreting policy and claims information.
  • Careful attention to detail and the ability to juggle several deadlines and priorities at once.
  • Good negotiation and problem-solving skills when dealing with insurers and other stakeholders.
  • Well-organized with solid time-management habits.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams, underwriters, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general MS Office tools for analysis and client presentations.
  • English fluency is important; Arabic is an advantage where relevant.
