Job description

Role overview

As a core member of MASH HQ, you will sit at the intersection of client strategy, embedded delivery teams, and internal leadership. Working alongside the Managing Director, Talent Director, and CFO, you will help ensure accounts are not only delivered smoothly, but are also becoming more strategic, better connected, and increasingly valuable to clients over time.

This position blends client partnership, delivery leadership, growth support, and team mentorship. You will contribute to senior client conversations, improve the quality of output across embedded teams, identify commercial opportunities, and strengthen account management from both a talent and operational angle. The ideal person is naturally proactive, curious, and able to ask sharper questions, uncover deeper insights, and bring practical, intelligent answers to clients, talent, and the wider business.

Client strategy, partnership, and account growth

  • Serve as the main HQ contact for key client relationships, maintaining clear communication from briefing and scoping through delivery, reporting, and renewal discussions.
  • Participate in and help lead senior client meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly reviews, and strategic check-ins, linking day-to-day work to broader brand, marketing, operational, and commercial goals.
  • Convert client needs into actionable direction for internal teams, handling expectations, scope, and trade-offs with commercial judgement.
  • Spot ways to expand existing and adjacent accounts by identifying where MASH can create greater value through stronger thinking, broader scope, or new capabilities.
  • Work with leadership to design bespoke, talent-led solutions that meet changing client needs across capability, capacity, quality, and team structure.

Delivery oversight, team excellence, and mentorship

  • Act as the link between MASH HQ and embedded teams so teams feel supported, appropriately challenged, and clear on expectations.
  • Improve delivery quality by helping teams sharpen briefs, set priorities, manage stakeholders, and maintain strong output standards.
  • Provide agency-style support and mentoring across client programmes, strengthening commercial awareness, stakeholder confidence, and operational discipline.
  • Run regular account and team health checks to identify risks early across morale, workload, performance, client satisfaction, and delivery quality.
  • Support development and progression conversations, helping MASHERS build confidence, capability, and long-term value within the model.

Commercial, operational, and strategic leadership

  • Monitor account budgets, trackers, scopes, and resource changes so delivery stays on plan, issues are raised early, and the right people are involved when adjustments are needed.
  • Set and track account-level KPIs and success metrics, using reporting and data to highlight wins, surface problems, and support better decisions.
  • Contribute to improving how accounts are run across staffing, visibility of workflow, resource planning, governance, and delivery consistency.
  • Help systemize MASH’s operating model by developing stronger playbooks, structures, tools, and scalable ways of working.
  • Promote the use of technology and AI where it can improve automation, forecasting, recruitment, resource planning, and performance visibility across accounts.

About you

You should bring senior experience in client leadership, delivery leadership, or client services, such as an Account Director, Client Services Director, Delivery Lead, or a comparable agency or consultancy role. You will have a strong history of growing accounts by building trusted relationships, identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, and moving commercial discussions forward.

You understand what strong agency delivery looks like and know how to help teams raise the strategic standard of their work. You are commercially curious, resourceful, hands-on, and always looking for better ways to solve problems. You have a clear instinct for client excellence, talent excellence, and operational excellence, and can combine all three to improve relationships and results.

You bring a strong mentoring approach and know how to challenge and support teams at the same time. You are comfortable spotting patterns early, reading stakeholders accurately, sharing useful insights before issues escalate, and leading business reviews and strategic conversations with senior marketing and business stakeholders. You are also confident working with data, dashboards, and spreadsheets to guide decisions and communicate performance clearly.

Interest in how technology and AI can improve team workflows, scale, and client value is important, along with strong communication, stakeholder management, coaching, and the ability to bring structure and calm direction in fast-moving environments.
