Role overview
Inizio Engage partners with a major biotechnology company across its commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs functions. The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to provide disease-state education and field-based clinical support to healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialist settings within a defined disease area.
This position focuses on education delivered through approved materials, adherence to program expectations, and compliance with both company and client standards.
What you will do
- Deliver detailed education on disease states and management approaches to healthcare providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders through educational interactions using approved resources.
- Follow all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in every discussion, activity, and material used.
- Operate within the client’s defined guidelines while coordinating with field colleagues.
- Complete all assigned Inizio and client training, along with competency checks, within the required timelines.
- Keep accurate daily records of office visits and all required reporting.
- Record time and expenses in the specified internal systems.
- Maintain any required professional registration or licensure in line with company expectations and state law.
- Attend local or national meetings and conferences when requested to stay updated and share best practices.
- Care for company and client equipment and materials according to instructions.
- Work in line with company policy, the code of conduct, and external industry regulations.
- Remain reachable during working hours to respond to questions and perform duties.
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and notify the company immediately about any driving offenses or penalty points.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as needed, including overnight trips.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Important role boundaries
Clinical Educators do not provide nursing care, medical advice, treatment advice, or product promotion/marketing of pharmaceutical products.
Requirements
- You must be a qualified healthcare professional with an active state license.
- Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse is preferred.
- An Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, BSN, or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease state or related area is needed; respiratory experience is preferred.
- Background in pharmaceutical or biotech settings as a clinical educator or in sales is preferred.
- You should have strong professional communication and presentation ability.
- You must be comfortable presenting to physicians and office staff members.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and independent working skills are important.
- You need the ability to juggle multiple priorities across a territory.
- A self-driven attitude and strong personal motivation are expected.
- Ongoing professional development and commitment to keeping clinical knowledge current are required.
- You must be willing to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays, and live within the assigned territory.
- You must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this role is $88,000 to $163,000 per year. Final pay will depend on factors such as experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
