Role overview
4 Corner Resources is hiring a meticulous Clinical Proofreader/Editor to support the accuracy, compliance, and quality of member and provider communications. The role focuses on reviewing clinical system activity, working alongside internal stakeholders, and making sure all correspondence follows state and federal requirements as well as internal brand standards.
This is a fully remote position with a 6-month contract term and the possibility of an extension.
Key responsibilities
- Handle assigned correspondence work quickly and within the required turnaround times.
- Spot workflow gaps and share practical suggestions that help reduce mistakes and improve quality.
- Check member and provider communications for alignment with the clinical platform (TruCare) and applicable regulatory rules.
- Review correspondence against TruCare records and verify that the correct templates are used.
- Partner with care managers, leadership, and peer reviewers to support compliance in required communications.
- Evaluate correspondence for correct medical language and compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
- Support the full correspondence lifecycle, including creation, secure storage, retrieval, and archiving.
- Ensure consistency across communications by following corporate branding requirements.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to meet output expectations of 35 letters per day and 200 letters per week.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in the healthcare sector is required.
- An associate degree in a healthcare-related discipline is preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS SharePoint.
- Experience with Utilization Management, government health programs, and managed care processes, including approvals, denials, organizational determinations, appeals, and grievances.
- Comfort handling moderately complex communication work, including training support and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a professional and objective approach.
Pay and schedule
The role starts at $25 per hour.
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.
