Cloud Architect

Role overview

Flynas is looking for a Cloud Architect to shape, plan, and manage its cloud strategy. The role focuses on enabling a smooth move to cloud computing in line with business needs, with the goal of improving efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead cloud adoption efforts, establish practical cloud policies and procedures, and help strengthen the overall performance of the cloud function. The role also involves diagnosing complex issues, identifying the underlying causes, and putting durable solutions in place to support lasting change.

Cloud architecture and migration

• Build cloud architectures that meet business goals while balancing scalability, reliability, security, and cost.
• Assess, compare, and deploy cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud based on organizational requirements and recognized industry practices.
• Work closely with development teams to create and implement cloud-native solutions using cloud services, containers, and serverless technologies.
• Set up and apply cloud governance standards, policies, and best practices to support compliance, security, and efficient resource use.
• Advise on cloud migration approaches by reviewing on-premises infrastructure, planning transition paths, and ensuring a seamless move to the cloud.

Problem solving and operational response

The position requires independent analysis of situations, quick diagnosis of root causes, and timely implementation of solutions to reduce immediate business risk and maintain continuity.

Continuous improvement

• Research market benchmarks and industry best practices, then translate them into improvements that keep Flynas aligned with modern cloud capabilities.
• Review the effectiveness of systems and processes on an ongoing basis and guide project teams with recommendations that create sustainable improvements.
• Help the organization adopt standard cloud practices that support scalability and future business growth.
