About the role

As a Commercial Cleaner with CBRE, you will support basic upkeep across a workplace environment by carrying out housekeeping, occupancy, and custodial duties. The position sits within the Workplace Experience function, which focuses on delivering excellent service to clients and visitors in a designated building.

Key duties

  • Keep the property clean and presentable, including boardrooms, washrooms, kitchens, and common office areas.
  • Carry out hands-on work such as lifting, moving, loading, and unloading materials.
  • Keep storage spaces organized and ensure supplies remain properly stocked.
  • Handle desk and office lockout requests and manage replacement keys.
  • Work in line with all applicable government rules and company standards for building operations and safety.
  • Perform general labor tasks as assigned, including helping office teams relocate by delivering and collecting packing materials.
  • Support maintenance teams, engineers, and vendors on special assignments, and verify completed work against expected deliverables.
  • Respond to routine questions and concerns from clients, teammates, and supervisors.
  • Use established procedures to solve simple issues with limited independent judgment.
  • Complete assigned work by following clear procedures and close supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, plus up to 2 years of experience in a related role.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, standing, walking, and climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Capacity to lift or carry loads weighing 50 lbs. or more.
  • Comfort with following standard work routines and procedures.
  • Basic communication skills for exchanging simple information.
  • Working familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organization skills and a curious, proactive approach.
