Job description
Role Overview
The Commercial Lead is responsible for ensuring campaign setup is ready to go, shaping the assortment approach across omnichannel, and driving the in-season sales plan and QCP for assigned customer groups. This role also partners with e-commerce leads and visual merchandising teams to make sure execution is aligned across each channel.
This is an on-site position based at the Toronto Support Office and reports to the Commercial Manager.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Commercial Manager to build and drive the omnichannel sales market commercial plan for your customer group(s).
- Contribute bottom-up input for QCP, including tactical planning, and build demand plans by channel and garment group for your customer group(s).
- Work with the wider Commercial team on pricing input and package mapping.
- Manage the in-season sales plan and QCP execution for your customer group(s) across channels.
- Collaborate with Continent SP on inventory-related topics such as allocation, replenishment, and article selection, and discuss any needed changes to the plan.
- Analyze the latest sales and demand forecast data, review weekly performance, and recommend commercial actions.
- Own in-season commercial operational planning for your customer group(s).
- Ensure campaign setup, readiness, and assortment alignment across omnichannel.
- Execute tactical activations in the Sales Market with Continent SP, including article selection, while staying within the budget and framework set by Global teams such as discount limits.
- Set commercial priorities, plan sales and R&D execution based on direction from Continent SP, manage online product ranking, and handle EOP budget and articles for retail.
- Coordinate execution with E-com Leads and VM in the relevant channel.
- Visit stores to review performance, gather insights, coach teams, and share best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline is an advantage, though it is not required.
- Solid experience and understanding of omnichannel merchandising, commercial strategy, and e-commerce.
- Strong analytical thinking, including the ability to interpret selling equations, weekly sales reporting, and how commercial KPIs connect to product prioritization.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and communication skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in e-commerce or retail merchandising, ideally covering both areas and preferably within fashion.
