Job Overview
This opportunity is based at Al Najada Doha Hotel By Tivoli in Doha, Qatar, within Minor Hotels’ broader international hospitality portfolio. Role Summary
The Commis II supports the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food preparation and presentation while maintaining strict standards of personal hygiene, food safety and kitchen organization. The role calls for someone who can work well with others, follow instructions carefully, stay composed under pressure and handle multiple tasks within tight timelines. A strong focus on guest satisfaction and consistent execution is essential.
Key Duties
- Prepare dishes to a high standard so that guest expectations are met and exceeded.
- Carry out assigned kitchen tasks efficiently and accurately as part of the wider culinary team.
- Assist with fundamental food preparation and maintain order in the kitchen workspace.
- Communicate smoothly with team members, accept feedback professionally and follow directions effectively.
- Stay calm and organized while managing several tasks at the same time.
- Contribute to the success of the kitchen by maintaining excellence in your own station and supporting colleagues where needed.
Requirements
- High school education.
- Prior experience in a Food & Beverage or restaurant operations role.
- Strong team-oriented mindset.
- Good guest service ability.
- Working knowledge of basic food preparation, presentation and preservation methods.
- Understanding of standard hygiene and safety practices.
