Role overview

This internship is for a communications and digital media profile based in Bengaluru. The intern will help maintain website content, support social media activity, create digital creatives, and contribute to content development and online engagement efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep the organisation’s website updated with programme details, news, publications, reports, events, and other relevant content.
  • Support improvements to website design, page structure, and user experience in coordination with the reporting manager.
  • Make sure all web content is current, correct, visually engaging, and consistent with brand standards.
  • Handle the organisation’s social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other suitable channels.
  • Design posters, graphics, reels, short-form videos, infographics, and other social media assets using appropriate tools.
  • Draft attractive captions, posts, and other digital copy that help improve audience interaction and organisational reach.
  • Track social media results and prepare monthly reports covering reach, engagement, audience growth, and campaign outcomes.
  • Study trends in digital communication and suggest new ideas to strengthen online engagement.
  • Plan, draft, edit, format, publish, and optimise blog content for the organisation’s website.
  • Apply basic SEO practices to website and blog content to improve discoverability and visibility.
  • Maintain consistency in branding, messaging, and visual identity across all digital channels.
  • Take on any additional communication or digital media tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
