Role Overview
This is a full-time remote opportunity for a Community Manager working for a client company. The position is focused on building a constructive, inclusive, and engaged online space while also handling customer support and moderation across multiple subject areas such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.
The selected candidate will help maintain a safe and respectful environment, respond to complaints, and introduce engagement initiatives that strengthen participation and community health.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and moderate online communities to preserve a respectful, safe, and inclusive space, while actively resolving concerns and responding to questions.
- Handle customer issues and queries quickly and professionally, using empathy to calm difficult situations and keep interactions constructive.
- Create and implement engagement plans that encourage participation and keep the community active and vibrant.
- Work with internal teams to share community feedback, observations, and useful insights.
- Organize work efficiently in a remote setting, managing several conversations and tasks at once across written and verbal channels.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure members receive a welcoming and supportive experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Background in customer support and online community moderation, with the ability to resolve concerns and complaints in a courteous, calm manner.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, empathetic messaging.
- Capability to manage conflict, defuse tension, and solve problems proactively in a remote, fast-moving environment.
- Solid time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure.
- High attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to go beyond the basic requirements to support community needs.
