Job description
About the Role
At FlixTrain, you will help shape the future of mobility in a role where commercial contract management directly supports business execution. The position sits in a fast-moving, international scale-up environment where your ideas can have a real impact. It combines contractual oversight with commercial thinking and close collaboration across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex commercial agreements in asset management, including purchase, financing, leasing, service, and maintenance contracts during the implementation phase.
- Track contractual duties, deadlines, reporting obligations, milestones, and KPIs to ensure commitments are met.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contract amendments, addenda, and claims in coordination with Legal and Finance.
- Maintain and improve contract records and support the use of contract lifecycle management tools.
- Act as a connector between Legal, Maintenance, Asset Management, and Finance to align on shared business objectives.
- Support claim handling and damage management, including SLA-related topics, warranty rights, and contractual penalties.
- Create contract analyses, management decision papers, and risk assessments based on commercial considerations.
Candidate Profile
You should bring a commercial background through vocational training or a degree in business administration, business law, industrial engineering, or a related field. The role requires at least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in contract management or paralegal work and in negotiating commercial agreements. You should also be comfortable working with contract management systems and handling complex contractual setups. A strong understanding of the business, technical, and legal aspects behind contracts is important, along with a hands-on, analytical, structured, and self-driven working style. Experience in transport, asset financing, leasing, or a similar industry is preferred. Fluency in German and English at C1 level is required.
