Overview
This role is for an Arabic copywriter who can develop strong, persuasive concepts and messaging for advertising campaigns. Working closely with the wider creative team, the person in this position will help shape campaign communications across multiple formats so that the message connects clearly with the intended audience and supports campaign objectives.
The job involves taking ideas from the first brief through to the final delivered piece, while also guiding and supporting junior copywriters. It calls for someone comfortable working directly with clients, presenting ideas confidently, and explaining the thinking behind their work.
This opportunity is best suited to a practical, hands-on creative who enjoys storytelling, has agency experience, and has created idea-led work and Arabic copy for international brands.
Key focus areas
- Work with creative leads to contribute original, useful, and thought-provoking ideas.
- Manage several assignments at once, set priorities well, and keep to deadlines.
- Look into current industry approaches and explore new creative directions.
- Take part regularly in briefings that challenge and stretch creative thinking.
Responsibilities
- Create written content such as copy and product descriptions, while also reviewing and refining existing material.
- Keep all content consistent in tone, style, and messaging.
- Collaborate with an Art Director to build creative concepts for campaigns and marketing assets.
- Understand how to write effectively across 1:1 marketing channels.
- Use data insight as part of solving communication challenges.
- Make strategic and conceptual choices for a broad mix of clients and sectors.
- Take briefs, produce concise copy, create and format copydecks, and interpret brand voice accurately.
- Develop creative ideas that are strategically aligned across different channels.
- Present work internally and to clients with clarity, confidence, and persuasive reasoning.
- Listen carefully to client and team feedback and respond to it thoughtfully.
- Ensure all communication output meets a high standard of accuracy and quality.
- Bring originality and personality to the work while staying true to the established brand tone.
- Write for a wide range of formats, including white paper concepts, scripts, signage, and social content.
- Research competitors and market trends to inform stronger creative decisions.
- Work alongside designers and other creatives to make sure idea, copy, and design fit together seamlessly.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in concept development, with a strong understanding of the difference between a communication concept and a final execution idea.
- Proven ability to write for large-scale cross-channel and direct marketing campaigns across digital and traditional media.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Comfortable building client relationships and leading creative presentations.
- Strong conceptual thinking and sharp problem-solving ability.
- Energetic, humorous, and naturally curious in approach.
- Excellent conceptual and design awareness, backed by a strong portfolio across multiple formats.
- Skilled in strategic brainstorming, campaign planning, creative brief development, and creative execution.
