Role Overview
The Corporate Development Analyst will support HALA’s strategic growth agenda through analytical work, market evaluation, and assistance across mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and other corporate initiatives. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the full lifecycle of M&A and strategic investment projects, including opportunity screening, target shortlisting, and outreach.
- Develop and update financial models such as valuation, business plan, and scenario analysis models to inform investment and strategy decisions.
- Carry out detailed market research and competitor benchmarking across fintech, payments, and SME-focused sectors.
- Draft polished materials for senior leadership and board-level review, including investment memos, strategy presentations, and business performance reports.
- Contribute to fundraising work by preparing investor-facing materials, supporting data room setup, and completing financial analysis.
- Review internal business metrics such as GMV, cohort behavior, unit economics, and lending portfolio performance to produce actionable insights.
- Support due diligence activities by managing workstreams, interpreting findings, and helping move transactions forward.
- Collaborate with teams across finance, product, and business intelligence on strategic projects and business case development.
- Track market movements, competitors, and potential partners to surface new growth possibilities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 0 and 3 years of experience in an analytical position within a fast-growing company, startup or scaleup, strategy consulting firm, or banking environment.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to structure and build business cases.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with tools such as Tableau or Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic language ability is preferred.
