Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah for a Cost Control Manager. The role is responsible for managing and improving cost performance across several brands and outlets. The successful candidate will handle budgeting, forecasting, expense monitoring, and profitability analysis, while working closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams.
Key Duties
- Build and maintain cost models that support decision-making across the business.
- Track and review spending on food, labor, and operational activities.
- Compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts, and explain key variances.
- Prepare management-ready reports, dashboards, and cost analysis summaries.
- Work with procurement, finance, and operations to monitor inventory levels and validate supplier pricing.
- Review and optimize menu, recipe, and product costs while safeguarding quality standards.
- Assist with monthly closing activities related to cost control and reporting.
- Recommend practical cost-saving measures that improve profitability without affecting service or product quality.
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably across multi-brand or multi-outlet businesses.
- Solid capability in financial analysis, variance review, and cost modeling using Excel or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with inventory management, supplier price checks, and menu or recipe costing in food and beverage or hospitality operations, with at least 10 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, POS data, and cost accounting methods used in restaurant or food-service environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is required; CMA or CPA credentials are an added advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with finance, procurement, and operations functions.
- Comfortable working on-site in Jeddah, handling multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving business setting.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia’s food and beverage or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
