Role Overview
An opportunity is available in Qatar for a Cost Management Analyst. The role focuses on tracking, examining, and controlling institutional costs so the organization can operate efficiently, remain compliant with relevant regulations, and follow internal policies.
Key Duties
The analyst acts as the main contact for cost-related matters within FN and is responsible for the day-to-day oversight, monitoring, and periodic output of the cost management function. The position involves regular coordination with the Head of Section and the Finance Controlling Manager to keep them updated on progress and priorities.
Responsibilities include preparing the annual financial cost management plan and model, building procedures for the cost management function, and helping create guidelines for cost planning and modelling. The role also supports the creation of a smooth process from financial planning to the annual cost budget, including the preparation of the Group consolidated budget and parent/subsidiary cost budgets.
The analyst must maintain a comprehensive view of historical and projected cost positions and inventory balances. This includes coordinating budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, reviewing consistency, and performing quality checks on budgets and reports. The role also requires alignment across stakeholders on cost targets, assumptions, and performance expectations.
Additional duties include delivering financial planning, budgeting, and cost reporting to management and other stakeholders, conducting ad hoc cost analysis when needed, gathering inputs from other departments for budget preparation, and preparing monthly cost variance analysis against budget, gap-to-potential reviews, and cost reports.
The position also covers inventory trend analysis, monthly KPI preparation, regular cost and inventory review meetings with internal stakeholders and managers, cash preservation monitoring, and coordination of internal and external benchmarking activities.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and bring 3 to 5 years of related professional experience; experience in the fertiliser industry is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA is required.
Strong capability in Excel and PowerPoint is expected, along with good working knowledge of Power BI. The role also calls for solid communication and presentation skills, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, and a good level of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
