Job description

Role overview

This position is for an in-person interview. The courier will be responsible for collecting and delivering parcels on an assigned route, confirming that shipments meet the company’s service standards, and handling customer service tasks related to deliveries and pickups.

Key duties

  • Carry out courteous and efficient pickup and delivery of packages along a designated route.
  • Verify each shipment against service requirements and accepted operating standards.
  • Provide customer support connected to parcel movement and delivery service.
  • Complete any other duties assigned as part of the role.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • High school diploma or an equivalent educational qualification.
  • Valid driver’s licence with a strong driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and move packages as heavy as 150 lbs using the proper equipment.
  • At least 1 year of customer-focused business experience is preferred.
  • Must meet the minimum score on compulsory pre-employment driver assessment training.
  • Helpful to have knowledge of company operations and Canadian customs rules.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid time management and organizational ability.
  • Excellent customer service approach.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, stay effective under pressure, and manage stressful situations.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules and holidays according to business demand.
  • Must be able to work in a PC Windows environment.
  • Must complete recurring training and maintain annual accreditations where required.
  • For candidates based in Quebec, bilingual ability in French and English is required.
  • For driving-based roles, candidates must hold a valid licence such as Class 5, G, or 1(AZ) and have no more than two violations and/or accidents in the 24 months before applying.
  • Selection also considers the current driver’s abstract, interview performance, and results of any driving competency assessments.
