Role overview
This is a permanent, full-time courier position based at the Telford Service Centre (TF1 7FA) in Telford, England. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00.
The role sits on the frontline of customer service and involves collecting and delivering shipments while upholding a high standard of professionalism, reliability and service quality. The successful candidate will manage their own route, work to time-sensitive deadlines and represent DHL in a positive, energetic and customer-first manner.

Key responsibilities
You will be expected to complete deliveries and collections to the standard and timing customers require, while acting as a dependable representative of the business.
- Carry out deliveries and collections in line with time-definite customer commitments.
- Serve as a professional face of the company and help ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
- Develop positive customer relationships and look for ways to support the business.
- Maintain a helpful, proactive and service-oriented attitude throughout the day.
- Organise and prioritise your route so all stops are completed within the required timeframe.
- Adjust quickly when routes or operational needs change.
- Work effectively under pressure to meet demanding deadlines and service targets.
- Keep your work accurate, well-ordered and detail-focused.
- Perform vehicle inspections and ensure shipments are loaded, handled and transported safely.
- Record driving and working hours accurately in line with regulations.
- Follow company procedures, policies and security requirements at all times.
- Handle shipments of different sizes and weights while following manual handling guidance.
- Complete all documentation and data entry accurately.

- Has experience in a customer-facing or delivery position; multi-drop experience is an advantage.

- Has solid communication and problem-solving skills.
- Is physically able to meet the demands of the job.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Is willing to obtain, or already holds, a digital tachograph card.
