Job description
Job Summary
The Creative Artist is responsible for preparing artwork for various production techniques, including embroidery, screen-printing, metals, and accessories. This role also involves preparing art approvals for customers. The timely and accurate completion of these duties is crucial for achieving company-wide goals related to quality and on-time delivery. The Creative Artist will support customer logo and spec art requests by collaborating with other departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize template designs to create customer-requested logos.
- Modify customer art files using Adobe Illustrator to meet specific embroidery requirements.
- Prepare artwork approvals according to embroidery guidelines, color standards, and account history for customer presentation.
- Achieve daily production targets, aiming for an average of one job completion every 15 minutes.
- Process orders promptly to ensure they enter production before their specified need-by dates.
- Adhere to all order notes and details to minimize product returns.
- Engage in cross-training within the team to enhance overall production and quality.
- Provide processing feedback to management.
- Manage workload from Production Art, including assigned spec art tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions
- Redraw files using Adobe Illustrator to generate vector artwork.
- Prepare artwork for screen-print designs, metal accessories, and other specialty products.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Familiarity with both MAC and PC operating systems.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- InDesign knowledge is preferred.
- Familiarity with other relevant computer software and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong electronic communication and functional abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Education and Experience
A high school diploma is required. Graduation from a vocational school with a focus on graphic design is advantageous. Prior experience in Graphic Design is mandatory. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is also relevant.
