Job description
About the role
CNC Agency, previously known as Coffee 'n Clothes, is a culture-led experiential marketing agency focused on building meaningful connections between people and brands. The team develops experiences, narratives, and products that resonate with audiences and support brand growth. Its approach brings strategy, creativity, production, and culture together to transform ideas into tangible experiences designed for people, not algorithms.
The agency is hiring a Creative Director to oversee the creative delivery of immersive, brand-led experiences from the point a concept is approved until final completion. This leader turns broad creative direction into a unified, polished execution across physical and digital elements, keeping the work aligned, practical, and true to the original idea without personally handling every production detail.
In this position, you will act as the main creative representative in both client-facing and internal discussions, helping projects move forward through clear direction, feedback, and sound decision-making. The role calls for strong judgment, leadership, and the ability to balance ambitious creative ideas with operational realities.
Responsibilities
- Direct creative delivery across experiential workstreams, including environmental design, graphics, copy, interactive elements, audiovisual components, and spatial storytelling, from concept to final launch.
- Carry the approved creative direction through every stage of the experience so the final result is coherent and consistent.
- Map out all creative deliverables needed for a project and determine which internal teams and outside specialists are best suited to produce them.
- Evaluate and improve work created by designers, art directors, writers, and other specialists by giving precise guidance rather than doing the execution yourself.
- Show execution-level creative work to clients and internal stakeholders, explaining the thinking, intent, and refinements behind the work.
- Work closely with Production and Account teams to keep creative development aligned with scope, budget, schedule, and logistical feasibility.
- Coordinate with fabricators, builders, AV vendors, and other partners to protect creative intent and uphold quality and craftsmanship in the final build.
- Act as the connective point across teams, spotting risks early and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions satisfy brand standards, audience expectations, and experiential best practices while staying achievable in real-world conditions.
- Assist with handoff, installation, and on-site support when needed to help deliver the experience as planned.
- Take part in post-project reviews to assess outcomes and apply learnings to future work.
- Lead and mentor creatives at different levels, including art directors, designers, copywriters, and similar roles.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in experiential, environmental, or integrated creative work, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or Creative Director-type role.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale experiential projects from initial concept through construction and live execution.
- Strong grasp of spatial design, graphic systems, copywriting, interactive experiences, and audiovisual elements as they relate to live environments.
- Excellent creative judgment and the ability to provide clear, useful direction across multiple disciplines.
- Confident experience presenting creative work to senior clients and other stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of production workflows, fabrication methods, materials, and on-site execution needs.
- Proven ability to work effectively with Production, Account, Strategy, and external partners.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage several workstreams at once.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the flexibility to adapt quickly in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, paired with a respectful, collaborative management style.
- Strong interest in live experiences, storytelling, and designing moments that matter to audiences.

Placement within that range depends on a mix of factors such as relevant experience, proven results, specific skills, geographic location, and internal pay equity.
