Mission

H Street Digital is seeking a Creative Strategist to strengthen its creative operations and help client accounts grow through advertising that is guided by data and designed to perform. In this role, you will lead the creative testing and briefing workflow that supports performance marketing, shape fresh concepts that improve conversions, and keep the creative function running as an organized, high-output team. The position calls for strategic judgment, precision, and strong collaboration with both internal colleagues and external partners to deliver creative work that beats performance targets.

Creative Strategy and Reporting

  • Research each client’s product and brand so you can clearly understand what they offer and how they are positioned.
  • Create creative briefs that support both incremental testing and larger-scale concepts, always tied to performance outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Growth Strategist to track creative experiments and help campaigns meet the expected hit rate.
  • Review advertising results and turn them into practical learnings that guide the next round of testing.
  • Use tools like Motion, Atria, and Foreplay to spot patterns, identify trends, and generate new ideas.
  • Keep creative dashboards updated and take part in performance reviews that shape future creative decisions.
  • Coordinate with external production partners for UGC-style videos and static ad creation.
  • Refine hooks, messaging, ad formats, and target personas to improve CTR and conversions.
  • Use principles from behavioral psychology such as social proof, scarcity, and authority to make ads more persuasive.
  • Assist with client onboarding by reviewing creative and messaging opportunities at the start of an engagement.
  • Partner with media buyers and client strategists to ensure creative direction stays aligned across teams.

Project and Quality Management

  • Make sure ad assets are delivered on time, whether they are being produced in-house or for clients.
  • Estimate the monthly number of briefs needed based on account health and media spend.
  • Build and improve quality-assurance checklists to keep production standards high.
  • Monitor ad readiness and the production pipeline across all assigned accounts.
  • Keep client revisions efficient by limiting feedback cycles to two or fewer per deliverable.
  • Handle everyday client communication through Slack, email, and calls.

Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate brings 2 to 4 years of experience in a Creative Strategist role or a similar position within DTC eCommerce. You should have a proven background in direct-response or performance-focused creative work, along with strong writing and briefing ability. Familiarity with tools such as Motion, Foreplay, Atria, Asana, and Notion is important, and you’ll need a solid grasp of creative performance metrics, ad trends, and fast-paced remote collaboration.
