Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Creative Strategist focused on the gaming space. The assignment runs for 4 weeks, begins as soon as possible, is part-time, and is based in Germany. Applicants must be registered independent contractors.
What you’ll do
- Spot cultural shifts, signals, tensions, and behaviours that influence audiences under 35 in Germany.
- Stay deeply engaged with gaming culture, creator communities, and online spaces to uncover fresh brand opportunities.
- Turn cultural observations and consumer insight into clear strategic directions.
- Shape authentic and relevant ways for the brand to show up in culture.
- Create compelling briefs that lead to original ideas and culture-led activations rather than standard ad campaigns.
- Partner with creatives, marketers, and brand stakeholders to develop and deliver culture-first work.
- Contribute to shared team understanding of gaming culture and how it can support brand growth.
What we’re looking for
- Current residence in Germany is required.
- Hands-on experience in the gaming industry.
- Background in brand strategy, cultural strategy, creative strategy, or communications planning.
- Strong understanding of German audiences, modern culture, and social behaviour.
- Solid knowledge of gaming communities, creators, and platforms.
- Ability to read cultural signals and convert them into strategic brand opportunities.
- Experience writing creative briefs and collaborating with creative teams.
- Excellent storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Additional information
This is not a salaried permanent role; it is a temporary contract engagement. The role is part-time and onsite in Germany. Start date: asap. Duration: 4 weeks.
Ideal background
Experience from a cultural strategy consultancy, gaming business, creator-focused agency, or innovation team would be especially useful. A strong grasp of gaming as a major cultural force for younger audiences is also valuable.
