Job description

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a Creative Strategist focused on the gaming space. The assignment runs for 4 weeks, begins as soon as possible, is part-time, and is based in Germany. Applicants must be registered independent contractors.

What you’ll do

  • Spot cultural shifts, signals, tensions, and behaviours that influence audiences under 35 in Germany.
  • Stay deeply engaged with gaming culture, creator communities, and online spaces to uncover fresh brand opportunities.
  • Turn cultural observations and consumer insight into clear strategic directions.
  • Shape authentic and relevant ways for the brand to show up in culture.
  • Create compelling briefs that lead to original ideas and culture-led activations rather than standard ad campaigns.
  • Partner with creatives, marketers, and brand stakeholders to develop and deliver culture-first work.
  • Contribute to shared team understanding of gaming culture and how it can support brand growth.

What we’re looking for

  • Current residence in Germany is required.
  • Hands-on experience in the gaming industry.
  • Background in brand strategy, cultural strategy, creative strategy, or communications planning.
  • Strong understanding of German audiences, modern culture, and social behaviour.
  • Solid knowledge of gaming communities, creators, and platforms.
  • Ability to read cultural signals and convert them into strategic brand opportunities.
  • Experience writing creative briefs and collaborating with creative teams.
  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Additional information

This is not a salaried permanent role; it is a temporary contract engagement. The role is part-time and onsite in Germany. Start date: asap. Duration: 4 weeks.

Ideal background

Experience from a cultural strategy consultancy, gaming business, creator-focused agency, or innovation team would be especially useful. A strong grasp of gaming as a major cultural force for younger audiences is also valuable.

Focus areas

The role centres on identifying culturally relevant opportunities for under-35 audiences in Germany, shaping authentic brand positioning, producing inspiring culture-first briefs, and strengthening internal understanding of gaming’s influence on brand relevance and preference.
